About our Society:
The Northern Boreal Forest Region of Alberta is home to many communities which depend on the forest. A multitude of benefits are realized, including employment, recreation, trapping, wildlife, rangeland, education and spiritual solitude.
The Northern Lights Forest Education Society(NLFES) represents a non-profit group of organizations and individuals committed to enhancing the forests for the benefit of communities in Northern Alberta.
Through partnerships with schools, industry, local government, organizations, individuals, First Nations and Metis communities, the NLFES can play a part in increasing awareness of the importance of our forests.
